Hey Whass good??? HHF here back after my month long break from this blog, did I not tell you guys I was taking a month of???? oppps MY BAD! haha

I still have been keeping up with my other real blogs and fishing reports...but this one I just needed a break from...I also recently broke down and join'd that FaceBook joint, and man is that addicting..

I still have been fishing... doing my thang!

Prepairing for future fishing events...can't wait for fall, if we ever get a real summer!!! Also trying my best to get the show up and running, it hard making ish happen when soo many hands are involved, but slow motion is better than no motion.

Once again, I am sorry about the neglect on the HHF blog, but it tis the season and I have been super busy with tournaments, and work, and night life and fun fishing, and tournament prepping and fishing and traveling and more tournaments.

So this Past Sat. I fished my first tournament of the year!! ( should have been second, first one was canceled) It was a WBFN (Wisconsin Bass Federation Nation) event and I fished pretty damn good! I had a great boater who made the day for me...put me on some fish!...and was just a blast to fish with! I cashed in the even with 3rd place... Yppieee! naw means!!! It was on Lake Delavan, Delavan Wisconisn.

Whas up I am back in Chicago...right as the midwest's weather becomes bi-polar again! Sucks!

First up, I had a good ole time in Southern IL over the weekend with the crew...lots of fish caught....and mang did I need it...winters are getting harder and harder for me to deal with every year.

Next up.. I feel it my duty to let everyone know that Brother Ali, has put out a new EP...that is on itunes ready for you to pick up...download, whatevr. In my opinion he put out the best record last year with "The Undisputed Truth" ... I dont see him coming weak on this EP...he raps real life over dope beats... that is what I like, and therefor you should too! haha

The EP in entitled "The Truth is Here"... now go to itunes and at least give it one tho free listens. word.

Last up for now....The Cool Kids have there first full length album about to come out...and it called "When Fish Ride Bicycles"...what a dope album name!!!! There is a very well written review over @ Fake Shore Drive... you should def. swing threw and give that a read.

Yes Yes...it is march and here in the mid-west the countdown is on till fishing season...( well real fishing season).

I spent most of my weekend at the BassPro shops spring fishing classic...it was fun! Got all the final things for for the season.....I sharpened A LOT of hooks....and spooled up my weapons...Loaded ready to go!!!

In a couple days, (I leave Thursday) the gang and I will be traveling 7 hours South in search of the open water...and a big fish, pre spwan bite! I am pumped up...wheels have already started spinning...the fishing season is sooo close! So be looking for a sweet report/ video and picks of that trip when I get back!!

On another note, I have been busy planning the first fishing trip of the year! A few ladies and gents, are set to make the trek with me...so the planning needed to be bumped up a notch!! Well here at Hip Hop Fishin, I try to give you the best of both my worlds....the fishin and the hip hop!....Now I try and do my best to filter out all the wack ish... that is constantly being pumped out on the internet. I try to keep it fresh...kno what imsayin?

First off...Killa Cam'Ron, who just vanished with out saying a word...just appears out of nowhere and prolly drops one of his best tracks in the last 8 years or so.

Sorry about the wait between post I have been busy, Midwest weather finally showed a glimpse of life, and you know the HHF had to try and take advantage...but that intails me being away from computer, which in turn means negelect on the blog! Gotta do what I gots to do! Nawh means killahs??

I have been out fishing a lot lately, trying to get that first one of 2009! It is still way early here in the midwest to be chasing bass...but cabin fever will get to ya...and i say if you can fish you better try! FYI 98 % of the water in Chicagoland area is still ICE!

Chicago Rapper Charged In 2007 Bank Robbery

Terrance Boykin Was Arrested In Downstate Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. (CBS) ― A Chicago-based rapper could be performing his next set inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center after being charged by federal authorities with robbing an Oak Park bank in 2007.

Terrance Boykin, 28, of the 1200 block of South State Street, was arrested in downstate Carbondale following a routine traffic stop, according to the FBI.

He was wanted in the Jan. 4, 2007, robbery of a Chase Bank Branch at 800 W. Madison St. in Oak Park.

Boykin is a Chicago-based rap artist who goes by "Bump J," according to the FBI.

In the robbery, two men with handguns entered the bank and announced a robbery, the FBI said.

The men forced bank employees to hand over cash from the teller drawers and vault, and made off with more than $100,000, the FBI said. No injuries were reported, and the robbery was caught on surveillance cameras, the FBI said.

Boykin had been the subject of a nationwide manhunt. The other man has not been located.

Boykin is being held without bond in Carbondale and will be returned to Chicago, the FBI said. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Some of you might know, most prolly dont but it was my B-day on the 18th...Thanks to everyone for making it the best birthday yet!

I have been fishing and i always keep it trill, just havent been catching the quality of fish worth posting about....but i will let you in on how i have been trying.

I got a swim -bait set up!!!

7 foot 6inch heavy BPS stick with a new Revo SX-L paired up with it. It is rad...but am still waiting for it to produce.

I also went nuts with the swimbaits...buying mostly Strike king's Shad-a-licious in the 4.5 inch range....and Yum's Money Minnows in the 5.5 inch version.

well, I can cast them far....and the look so realistic they fool me....any trip out now they are gonna fool a giant.

What is good everyone!??!

It was a very decent weekend for me!

I will start with the sad note =(....The Chicago Cubs...are done! Well if ya live under a rock and don't know, they got swept by the LA Dodgers.... but we all knew they are cursed, and not to get exicited any more.

The plus side is no more crazy train rides full of annoying Cubs fans!!!! I can travel the city in peace one again!!!!

OK now to the good stuff!!

On sat. Oct. 4th, I woke up early, ( still dark out) and made my to the lakefront to try for those damn salmons!...Well after about 1000 cast, at approx. 10 am, I landed my first salmon. A Coho...well it was not the biggest fish, and it wasnt a King Salmon....but I will take it!!!!

She hit a Fire Tiger colored Rattle Trap, moving at very high speed!!!!! It was sweeeeeeeeeeetttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More great news!!!....On sunday, the Chicago Bears whooped the Detriot House Cats, in a 34-7 win!!! That puts them in first place in there divison, and right where they should be!!!

Kyle Orton as of now ( before tonights game) is QB of the week! He threw for 324 yards and 2 TD's! If the bears have a QB....WATCH OUT!!!!!

What up! what up!

As promised I got out and did some snake fishing last night...if you a new reader and have'nt read the last couple of posts....the snake is the lure I was using...it is a 12 inch replica rubber snake. BIG TIME BAIT!

Well when I was released from purgatory (9-5 job) I hustled and bustled my butt home! By 630 I was on my way to the secert frogging pond, hopping by the end of the night I could now refer to it as the secert frogg'n/snake'n pond!

well let me say it was COLD out! and to start off I had low confidence already because of how bad I have been fishing lately! the new gaint bait and the cold night had my hopes even lower...

On my second cast I pulled my brown rat colored snake through the lilly pads and into a open pocket of water, let it stop...twitch, twitch...and BAM! Blow up on the snake!!!.... but I missed her! Damn!

My heart is now pumping fast, I am no longer cold at all, and I pitch my snake out about half the distance of my last cast... Pull through lilly pads... hit that same pocket of open water, stop, twitch....and BAM! Blow up number 2 on the snake.

This time I wait the 2 seconds and power hook-set that sucka...I think I even yelled out "Gotcha Sucka" . The result was my first ever snake fish!!! Man, I can't wait to fish them next spring and summer!

( you can't tell but i'm holding the 12 inch balled up snake next to the fish )
Not the biggest, but it lets me know bass do eat snakes, and I take it for my first fish on a snake....I plan to have many more!!

Now that I am done bigging up the snakes...I hit yall up with the new Scarface single from his up coming album...to be out in Dec.

Scarface is dope...and everyone should buy his records if you can!

Well my plan was to get out to the harbors last night and throw the snakes around... but I quickly got side tracked getting my gear together.

My roommate challenged me to a game of Madden O9 football...and me being the "People's Champ!", could not refuse.

it was a random team challenge...

He drew the Chicago Bears ( always hurts me to play the bears )

and me I got the St. Louis Rams (yuck)

Long story short the...the Rams whooped on the Bears in a 24-14 victory.

After this He (my roommate, ###*###, his xbox tag if you wanna talk trash to him) still had some pride left and we played again....

He drew the Indy Colts (geez)

and me the NY Jets....

again long story short The NY Jets rocked the Colts in a 24-7 win.

So I am the Champ and plan on staying the Champ F-O-R-E-V-E-R!

whoa whoa whoa....wait a second, Mondays are alright, i forgot about Monday Night Football...da da da daaaaaaa, dit dit daaaaaaa (thats my attempt to type out the them song)

Anyways whats up HHFians!??!!

Just got back in town last night, (In time to watch the Bears whoop the Egeals) I spent the weekend in the Wisconsin area...Lake Geneva, Lake Delavan...about an hour and a half away from the city...but took us 4 hours to get there through road construction! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ....it sucked!

and I pretty much sucked it up fishing as well...cold front came, still tons of pleasure boaters.......ahhhhh im not making excuses, I didn't get it done to the level I should have...I mean the HHF was off alll weekend! Period.

Maybe Tonight or tommorrow I will throw up some pics from the weekend....MAYBE!

I will mos def hit yall with some new music in the next update...so come back and check for that!

As for now i have some work to do...It raining cats and dogs in the Windy City right now, but I still plan on fishing tonight...I got to try out my new snakes!!!

Never seen a snake in Lake Michigan before...but hey it could happen, and maybe thats what Mister Big Ol Bucketmouth is waiting to chow on!... We will see.

I mean if this dude catches a hawg on a snake...HHF has too! (scary looking gripe on that largemouth dude!)

I have been super busy, and have not had time to update the blog. blogger bloggy!

The daily updates will be back on track soon enough. ( well if you count this starting now)

Alot has been happening in the hip hop world, dudes drop mixtapes every hour it seems like...most of them suck, but every now and then you find a gem.

The pic of me is with a small Pike I caught while fishing in the aftermath of hurricane Ike... there was a lot of rain...I have never seen flooding this bad, and what do I do....I fish in it!!! Knaw sayin!

Whass good everyone?

I was a long Labor Day weekend, and man it was filled with some drammmma for the HHF!....but thats over and we should getting things poppin back to normal this week!

I had some fishing tournaments this weekend..I should have won, but had other things on my mind...actually spent more time on the cell phone then i did fishing...and still came so close to taking the win. Next time!

I won a online tournament I was in for the last 2 months...by the hair on my chinny chin, knaw means! whats good!

I got the last of my crap out of my storage locker I have been paying for the last 10 months!!!!! (really happy about this, i know prolly none of you care)

Im going on a small fishing trip this weekend to the Apple River in NW IL....Hollar at me in the JO davies County!

New Jezzy dropped yesterday...but i hooked yall up on friday with that!

I did a DJ set last friday...thanks to the people who supported me on that.

The son of hip-hop legend Dr. Dre was found dead at his home in Woodland Hills last weekend, according to KTLA. Andre Young Jr. was discovered by his mother, Nicole Young, who went to check on her son on Saturday morning.

Andre Jr. was supposedly out Friday night and returned home around 5:30 A.M. His mother went to check on him in his bedroom around 10 A.M. the next morning and found him unresponsive. She immediately called 911.

The cause of death is unknown, pending completion of a toxicology. Andre Young Jr. was only 20 years old. Andre Jr. is not to be confused with his brother Curtis Young who raps under the alias Hood Surgeon.

Yung Berg flew into Detroit late friday night for Hot 102.7’s annual Summer Jamz concert but instead of going straight to his hotel as scheduled, he made a pit stop at a club called Plan B, which i’m hearing is partially owned by Detroit rapper Trick Trick. Now mind you, Berg didn’t tell his label, his management or anyone that he was about to sneak off to the club.

Within minutes of getting inside the club, both Yung Berg and Cap (the person he met up with) were attacked by a group of men affiliated with Trick Trick. I am hearing that Trick Trick was NOT a part of the beat down. In fact, he helped break the fight up. Yung Berg’s security quickly scooped him off the ground and rushed him onto Cap’s tour bus that was parked outside of the club. His transformer chain (pictured above) was snatched during the mayhem. He was then taken to his hotel but did not receive any medical attention. He only suffered minor cuts and bruises and of course he’s a** was in total shock. He literally landed in Detroit and within that same hour caught a beat down. “Welcome To Detroit“!

By this time, Berg wanted to get the hell out of dodge, so arrangements were made and he was put on a plane back home. To all the Detroit fans that were disappointed that he didn’t perform, he really wanted to please his fans but when ish like this go down, please understand “it’s time to go”.

As far as the cause of the beat down, Yung Berg apparently said something in the past that was very disrespectful about Detroit rappers and Detroit don’t play that. Not sure if you remember, but Trick Daddy ended up catching it in Detroit by Trick Trick a few years ago.

hahaha Yung Berg I dont care if your from my city, and I dont care if I add to the haters from Chicago....dude is lame!

Reports have Kanye opening up to 10 Fatburger locations in his native Chicago, with the first rumored to be in Orland Park. The restaurants would be run in conjunction with West's company, KW Foods LLC, and an initial location could open as soon as September.
